Hi, I have a Bruno Mathsson Pernilla Chaise Lounge Chair by Karl Mathsson, Sweden, dated 1936. It appears to be a laminated steam-bent beech, (canvas or hemp, I am unsure?). It's dimensions are 63.5" L ( 70" Radius) x 20 W x 33" High/12" Low height and is similar to the full length picture. Signed with applied manufacturer's label to underside: Bruno Mathsson Firma Karl Mathsson Made in Varnamo Sweden and dated: 1936.
My questions is that this chair needs some help with the webbing. A majority of this chair is in good sharp but is ready for a new life. Does anybody know where I can find this type of webbing so that I can refinish this chair correctly? Appreciate any help I can get. Thank!!
It's just a gorgeous chaise longue!
Sorry can't help!.. but very very cool chair!...:-)
If I were you I would contact Sweden and ask their advice.

Ask if they could advise of a supplier in your area.
I think it is called Modell 36 rather than Pernilla.

Hi, how did it go with the webbing? The original webbing in the picture is paper webbing, used during WW2 and a few years after. To my knowledge you can't find it anywhere, it's not produced anymore. Usually you exchange it for linen or hemp nowadays. You can see on the bar between the front legs if it's an old or new model, if it's low ca 5 cm from the floor it's an old model, your's is a litle newer. BM36 is the model year, not fabrication.
