I was given this toy train candy container after my grandfather died. I was told that he brought it with him to the U.S. when he immigrated from the Ukraine in approximately 1906. Can anyone verify if that could be true, or were these only produced in the U.S.?

This appears to be an exact match to one pictured in the 1902 McKee & Brothers Glass Work catalog when they were a part of the National Glass combine. It is simple noted as "Engine" and shown on the page with miscellaneous tableware. "Engine" was made in crystal (as you have here), amber, green and blue glass. Very nice piece of Victorian era glass.
