This is my stove. It is was given to me by my Late Grandmother, I played with it as a child I am now 46 years old so I know it is over 40 years old. My Grandmother never told me where she got it but I was told once that is was a sales prop used by a door to door salesman. It is a model of a Cresent stove, the picture of the door is not real clear. It is made of cast iron and one of the eye covers is missing. (One of my Children threw it away I think). I would like to know some type of value on it.

This looks very much like the one I bought my mom back in the late 60's early 70's for a gift. I bought mine at a local small woolworth type department store for less than 8 dollars. I think she still has it too. I'm not sure of it's value but I don't believe it was a salesman prop. but one made to look like one and it came in a plain brown corregated cardboard box. I'll look the next time I'm there and see if she has the part you're missing.

The screws put it as in the 1950's to mid 60's. It should say Japan on it.
After that they were made in Taiwan until the late 80's then in China right up untill today.(Amazon).
These are never a salesman sample.
Also the US made ones were made pre-depression days.
