I found this at an old estate sale where the owner collected a ton of Hawaiian artwork. This appears to have chrome hardware that looks like it would be for a bar gate that would swing closed. It had tiny pieces of steel wool under the metal cap, which made me think it was in a bar. The back looks like it was mounted and the hardware looks like 1940-50 chrome vintage. Any ideas? The carving is amazing and it looks like either Teak or Koa wood.
