In 1976 I was 5yrs old and my dad would take me to the local slot track..he has since passed and I have found the case in which we would take our triggers and cars down there in..I found this car and since it has the tabs on the front I am assuming it is pretty rare...since I have not seen any others on line that were orange..
I am wondering if anyone knows how much this slot car is worth..

The Cox La Cucaracha above is worth between $150 and $200. Car seems to be in great condition and has the front blades on the body that are normally associated with a Super La Cucaracha model. Not sure if its really a Super La Cucaracha or not.

The LA Slot Car Museum site has a great deal of information on the Cox La Cucaracha cars. The cars pictured appear to be later versions with the fins on the front fenders. The motors also look to be later versions without the cooling holes. Orange was the typical color of the RTR, or "ready to run" as sold cars. Prices on these cars varies greatly depending on condition of course, and on the version of the car such as body color and production series.
