Found this a few days ago for a few dollars. My mother loves turtles, so I figured I could give it to her some time down the road. I am curious if anyone has seen a little guy like this? I can't find my jeweler's loupe, but I think the ring on the end is labeled 12 K. Not sure though.
thanks kygurl32 and moonstonelover21

Its Chinese
Stillwater, is that a bad thing? Like a...."Made in China" type Chinese?
still commonly seen and sold on ebay -- the charm babies love this little guys for his bright colors and moveable feet and tail --

No its not a bad thing, not everything made in China is low-quality. I've had a lot of these enameled silver articulalted animals and most of them are good quality. They're pretty collectible, and the Chinese antique market is red-hot right now. Its got some age to it too.
That one in the eBay link is a crappy one though, they'll never sell it for 75 bucks. I had a tiny koi fish that was really good, tons of moving parts, tails, fins, backbone, eyes, that I sold for eighty bucks a while ago. It was older too, 1920's. It was half the size of my pinky finger though
Interesting, thanks everyone, Stillwater, AR8Jason, epson233 for the comments and help!
