I think that they are just pretty decorations for your mantel consisting of matching flower vases and a covered Jar. They have transfer prints with some hand decoration and would date late 1800's-early 1900's. RER (LOUMANAL)

I am very curious about the history. I assumed that during that era things were more functional so I am wondering what the purpose would be of coupling vases with a jar.

Pretty Ladies on your drab Mantel were quite in vogue in those days and many companies made these adornments. Obviously the Vases could hold flowers but the Covered Jar was more or less decorative. The very rich had Girandoles, fancy French clocks and Fancy Porcelain wares to adorn their mantels.
