This amazing blue ashtray was produced by Flamagás, the same company that edited the ashtrays designed by André Ricard in the 1960s and 1970s, and in fact, one can see it follows the same line marked by Ricard.
It consists of two pieces. The bottom one made in blue melamine resembles a lot the designs by Ricard, specially for the small eevation at the middle. The top one is made of black plastic (I guess also melamine, but cannot tell for sure) and it's the one avoiding the ashes to fly away from the ashtray.
I was lucky to get this one with the original box... in fact, I found a lot of Flamagás stuff (by Ricard and others) in tgeir original boxes... you can bet that really made me happy!
It's architectural! Wonderful colour of the base!
Thanks Vet and Bellin!!! As ou can see my ashtray collection is a big one too :)
By the way, it is a big one, about 18 cm in diameter...
Do you mean the Lavenia one by Guido Andlovitz? (http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/49069-guido-andlovitz-for-lavenia-italy)
