Incredibly beautiful carved granite statue of Buddha

I think this is the finest quality carving i've ever seen outside of a museum. i'll take better photos in the daylight tomorrow, but this extremely heavy piece is really exquisite. i would love to know more about it if anyone knows anything. i think it might be Japanese, but i really don't know.
