This is a French Daum Decanter. Its square with shallow cutting all over the body and with gilding to the shoulder and around the edge of the cut disk stopper. It would have originally been boxed.
I have seen another with the word Daum painted underneath and it is in a Christies catalogue from about 15 years ago. Unfortunately mine is on it's own and is not paired and boxed like the ones in the Christies catalogue.
Hi. So you have one too! I bought one of three a year or more ago! The box was included in the deal on ebay. A really sad tale!
