The story with this Gentleman is a touching one. When my family and I first came to America from Hong Kong. We stayed in a couple Motels that were ok :0 And across the street from one of the last Motels we stayed in before settling down, finding our first apartment ...I befriended a old couple who owned a Antiques Collectibles shop in Santa Monica. I was 12/13 years old had no one to talk to....so we talked for a couple of months. Well just before we left the area...I went to the store to say goodbye...and the lovely old couple were sad to see me go. So they turned around and handed me the first piece I fell in love with, was this handsome man in the brooch. I thought him soo handsome!! I said to myself that I wished that he would be my husband :) I have kept him for 33 years and somehow he never left me. This Antique piece was my first love and intro in Antique Jewelry :))
officialfuel, thank you for your loving :))

lundy, it was nice with family and my daughters....thanks for asking :))
your welcome ,and thats a cool name you have
He is very handsome...:-)...and I think the first piece of what ever it maybe is always the best piece, as it is the beginning of the journey...what a lovely memory to go with yours!...:-)
What a nice story. I love his mustache!
That is my long lost twin brother! Looks like me! He is handsome!!
Nice story, he looks a real gentleman. One never forget the first "love" in antique jewelry, neither do I.
33 years with the same man & still in love, touching story! ;-)
inky, you are soo right in that thought! He was the start of something special. He was tucked away for many years before I was presented with another piece. It was an Antique Diamond Flower ring from the Edwardian Era When I was in my mid twenties. Then I was Hooked!!! My Fall and Rise or Vise Versa...LOL.. I even sold my Opera Length Mikimoto Pearl Necklace to buy more Antique Jewelry!!!! I think my Japanese Grandparents rolled in there graves when I did that :0
That is just an awesome piece
He is a bit of a handsome feller! Nice story moonstonelover!
A wonderful story and a beautiful keepsake. Did you ever go back to the antique shop and see the old couple?
antiquarius123, the sad part was that I did indeed go back and strangely enough...the shop was gone. I asked around and was told that the Man had a heart attack shortly after I left and passed away..and so did the wife the same year. I felt like they were meant to gift me before they left....and in a strange way..I feel them with me sometimes...smiling down at me. They were like the Grandparents I never had. I have moved across the Country and around several times...and the Handsome Man never left my side somehow. I have lost almost everything I had...but never Him :)))
So this is your boyfriend! What a hotty! Love the story of how you met
I have a boyfriend just like your man. I'll send you the link.

What an incredible story! You were indeed fated to have the old couple with you via this handsome man who has always been by your side. Strange how we find the things that have true value when we loose everything - and they are almost never the most expensive!
