This print looks like it's been mounted on top of the matte, almost like a large decal? As you can see, it is copyright 1912 from C. E. Perry.
Was this a common practice in 1912 to mount an image on top of a matte? Also if you can help put a title to this painting I would greatly appreciate it.
Can I assume that C. E. Perry was the artist or maker?
This also was found in my great grandmother's home stored in a chest of drawers out of sunlight. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with me. ;0)
