Loetz Astraa cabinet vase, ca. 1899

Astraa is an older early Loetz decor (one of my favorites) featuring large orange oil spots on a candia silberiris background. The glass ground is clear. This piece, which is about 5.0" tall, has a ground rim and no pontil. There are three large indents around the top two thirds of the vase, and four smaller indents around the bottom third. I didn't find the shape in Ricke, but the decor is unmistakable. The last photo shows the three pieces of Astraa in my collection.
