Stanchion Plate by Challinor Taylor

Beautiful blue milk glass by Challinor Taylor from the Victorian age. Plate was named "Stanchion" by Belknap, the author of the resource book "Milk Glass", published in the 1940's. As I was told by another collector, the word stanchion means an upright bar or post. Makes sense!
