After seeing toracat's post for his vintage travel iron I thought that I would post mine.
Found this at a garage sale last summer, didn't need it but thought it interesting.
It is a Hylite travel iron, it has a removable cord, & folding handle

Thanks for the love on this Geno, when I walked into that garage sale I certainly wasn't looking for an iron. I just couldn't resist it's cool factor, a lot of thought went into the design & packaging of this gem.

Hi Sis, thanks for the love on this one. I think it did see some use, as there is lots of tape holding the box together.

      Thanks for the comment Phil.
This is one of those products that started as a concept, then passed on to an industrial designer to render a design on paper that would appeal to the consumer. Then the engineers had to figure out a way to build it.
And yes it does look like a stapler.

sounds like me -- have several but this particular one -- mine is a singer -- but they work great for when wants to transfer embroidery patterns since you need a dry iron

Thanks for the love epson, maybe I should use this one when applying iron on edging in my wood working projects. My wife doesn't like it when I use her good one & get glue on it :-)
