This is a beautiful Sphinx. You can call 1-800-4singer, give them your model number and they will tell you when and whare your machine started.

You have a model 27 with sphinx decals I need some pictures of your decals so that I may copy and print on decal paper and put on my machine that I just Painted. Please send pictures to my email secky2u@yahoo.com

It's a 27 from August 1 1905, it has been electrified at some stage and a solid balance wheel put on. If you could find a spoked wheel you could convert it back to the treadle it once was.
