I found this at an Estate sale and thought 7.00 was a decent price..lol. Wondered where the pepper shaker was that matched, till I got home and took the bottom off and realized the pepper came from the bottom where there was a grinder.I have not seen, nor found one like this....yet!
It feels soft on the outside,not sure if it's coated with something(feels like thin leather) but it may be thick stain/paint, just Very ODD! I am no professional .Stamped Sterling and on the bottom It says Qualite Superieure and then a makers mark of 2 swords bladesfacing each other with very small saying on one blade:"La Spada ".(meaning the sword) and also says made in Italy. Not sure of it's age.
If anyone has a clue about this chime in please, meanwhile the research goes on! I just thought I'd share this one.
