When I bought these some years ago I thought they were earclips. But when you look at the design, you can notice they are not practical to wear on your ears. The way the first picture was taken, they are upside down! So thats not practical at all.
They tested as silver and they are pretty heavy. They have an art deco/machine age look to me, but I'm not sure about them.
So, does anybody know WHAT they are? Maybe shoeclips? Earclips?
And how old these are?
Thanks a lot!
They look like cuff links to me. Art Deco. Very nice too, such a great find
Thanks Qwijebo, mustangtony, vetraio50 and walksoftly for appreciating my clips.
Qwijebo, they could be cufflinks, but I have never seen cufflinks with clips.
Thanks for agreeing with me they are art deco.
Whether you think they're practical or not, they're earrings....
Thanks Stillwater and Phildavid for your comments...I guess my mystery is solved.
Once again it seems easy for me to see things on other peoples jewelry, but sooo hard to see it on my own stuff.
They look more Mid/Mod to me, 50's-60's
They could be dress or fur clips. That's my vote.

I'm with Lisa - dress, fur, or even shoe clips were made to glitz out your accessories...so not necessarily earrings.
Thanks for your advice everyone. After all these comments I believe they are earclips.
To bad they are not practical. You can't have it all
:-)
