I can't believe my luck finding this. Once again at one of our Goodwill stores. I recognized the mark as something familiar but couldn't remember the factory.I'm kind of on this 60's tangent at the moment and I really loved the shape and modern vibe. It felt like quality too. Yes,it was Meissen as I found out when I got home and checked the porcelain marks. This mark was used from 1912-1954.It has "Weifs or Weiss" either is correct, incised below the swords. It also has numbers that are very faint " ? 246" and "5 ? 485 can't read a couple. It stands 21 cm or 8.2" tall . According to what I've read "Weifs" was the designer. There are a few auctions of his bottles which they date as 1920's The biggest surprise was to see one on Ebay exactly like mine selling as a "buy it now" for $ 525.00 !! He calls it a "Lofty" vase. He's a art dealer from Bulgaria with perfect feedback so I would believe he's reputable. The catalog of art works in his Ebay store (sunart) is amazing and expensive. I still can't believe it !! I hope it's not a fake. A later reissue of an old design wouldn't be too disappointing, but I think it's original and in perfect condition !

Great find Mike
I absolutely love the shape! Nice find Mike!
Wow! Lucky you!
I'm sure they thought it was a piece of inexpensive milk glass, because it was marked at $1.75 !! Even I wasn't sure of it's value or the factory mark, initially. I just knew it was marked and had a quality about it. I really loved the shape and the way it felt. A total surprise believe me ! -Mike-
I would think that it says 'weiss' ('white') with the special German double-s letter which looks a little like a B. I have seen a vase like this on a German auction and it was caled 'weissporzellan' (I presume this could be the German word for blanc de chine...). According to other German sites the vase was designed by Ludwig Zepner (1931-2010), apparently a well-known German porcelain artist (if you Google his names under images, Pictures of your vase come up!). There is a book about him and his work for Meissen. The vases I've seen on German ebay are cheaper than the one you saw, but it is still a very good buy!
