Found this in garage today. I lived a little over 1 year in the hill country of Texas in 1993. Bought this at country garage sale for a few dollars. It has a sprayer attachment. I think you put in bucket of liquid, stand on iron footing and pump and spray. Things built a long time ago do not break easily and I am sure this works and will work for another 100 years! What all it is use for I need help if anyone knows! thanks Don

So I have two brass double pumper! WOW That is great! Maybe I clean it up some! There is still a lot of blue paint on it also! Thanks again walksoftly, I am double pumped up now!!

I picked one up today, thought it was an old bike pump. Note, some collectors don't like the patina removed. Polishing it will make it look like new, but may destroy any value. 'The blue paint' you mentioned is the patina. It is the tarnish from the copper in the brass... On mine most of the hardware has the blue.. The tubes are a different metal content and are just spotted blue.
It takes decades to turn it blue... Lime copper roofs in england, they treat them to give them the fake blue, but it takes decades to get the desired blue patina that copper roofs are famous for.
Cleaning with some soap and water probably won't do any damage, but using a brass or metal polish might destroy it as an original collectible.. It may not make any difference either way... But you may want to research it before shining it up. Just my 2 cents worth as.. The original metal is what attracted me to the one I found.
thanks I will leave it the way it is. I just wiped with a damp rag. Ithought it was blue paint!

I found one exactly like yours Don, it's outside my shop & most likely that's were it will stay as it stinks so bad of chemical. It was used by a farmer to pump herbicide into his sprayer.
I keep mine at the back door ready for the bushfires when they come. I see you are interested in painting well I just put one on this site.
I have the exact double tube bucket pump I found in the dairy farm we inherited.. I think they used it to transfer milk from buckets.. before electricity an refrigeration.. I was told since dairymen had little time to get to a creamery, most a few hours+.. they didn't like to pour the milk from buckets.. it made it sour quicker.. interesting huh?
I rebuilt mine with seals from Ace hardware.. it works like new .. even found a piece of the old red hose for it.. thx for posting.. good luck
