i own this 1932 magnavox olympic radio. it was made and given out to the volunteers who worked the 32 olympic games. i obtained it from one of those volunteers over 25 years ago. he ran a coca cola stand. it took me two years to finally get to work and i haven't played it since. that's another story. can anyone out there tell me if you've seen another like it? did one sell at auction, etc, etc. thanks for your help.

Hello, The speaker is a Magnavox, the radio was probably made by Gilfillan or Jackson Bell, ( there were about 50 small Radio Manufactures in the L.A area at that time) I have seen a similar radio made by Jackson Bell probably for the 1932 Olympics it has a similar Athlete in the Cut out with a Discus, also very rare.

I found a very similar looking radio in one of my radio books ,It could be made by a radio manufacture called Powell Mfg. Co.
