Jewelry Box from South Korea

Over the years I have received many of these jewelry boxes from South Korea. I hate to admit that I gave most to friends and family because how many can you have around? This one, however, I kept because I liked the design. The last picture is actually the front. When opened up, one can see the four little removable drawers. The first picture is one of the side panels.
These kind of items seem to be popular gifts and tourist items. I don't know anything about them but they appear to be hand-crafted lacquered wood and mother of pearl.
