I am posting this after seeing a similar one posted in the last several weeks.

Mine stands about 7 1/2" tall and the stopper adds another 2". The stopper is a fit for the neck and appears to have been with it since it was made.

The amber lion heads, stopper, feet and handle really go well with the blue body of the piece.

The bottom has a ground and polished pontil and by all appearances is a quality piece of art glass.

Reproduction of these images in any form is prohibited.

Hi Scott..very much like mine isn’t it?.. the only difference is that I can see!.. is and it may just be the photos, is yours optic on the inside, from what I can see it looks smooth but! as I said it may just be the photos. My neck has nothing to show that it would have had a stopper at one stage, also I found a tiny 38 engraved just below the rim, does yours?..is yours as heavy as mine?...quite lovely aren’t they?...thanks for posting, most interesting!....:-)

I'll take a look at the rim and see if anything is engraved on it. Yes, mine is very heavy as well.

Inky-- I checked the edge of the rim and near the amber handle a "3" is etched.

Since I have seen that before to match stopper to a bottle, I checked the stopper and sure enough on the bottom it has a "3".

It is probably indicative that yours also had a stopper at one time!

Looks like something Erik Hoglund would have done, with the faces and the wafer stopper. Just a name to check out for you

This is a much older piece-- possibly Harrach.

I have a Fritz Heckert with lion's heads.
    17. scottvez scottvez, 10 years ago
      Is it posted?

I suspect that the lion head is found with several makers and not an indicator of one particular glass house.
