Any help with information on this "gas" wall sconce would be appreciated. Fittings at the torch top and gas valve appear to be brass. The body is heavy and most likely a pot metal (?).... The gas pipe in the back, I assumed connected to a pipe from the wall. The gas valve under the shell would regulate the gas flow. There is a fine screen in the tip of the torch ( I guess to burn properly).
Weighs about 3-4 pounds ..... No damage at all except finish is a dull grey. ( would look nice gilded)
It is basically a girl sitting in a clam shell holding a torch....... approx 10" high x 7" wide
Was purchased at an Estate Sale in an old house that was funeral parlor.... ( must have been closed down for 100 years) all with items from the 1800's and very early 1900's
Thanks in advance
Sorry can't help with the manufacturer. It is lovely! Great find. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Sincerely,
Lisa
