Here we have a stunning 12 inch Harrach vase; gilded and ‘wrapped with blue and green trails’. According to the Harrach book and the associated exhibition (at the U(P)M Prague) this range was called Moravia and was designed in 1900 (Dec 896). The book shows a design photo with the pattern in many shapes. (It also comes in green and red). Passau also has examples, but this is the first I've seen outside captivity.

I’m not sure how exactly the green and blue was applied it must have been hot applied and the layers are deceptively thick as the ridges show up quite distinctly where the gilding covers them.

The gilding at the top and bottom seems to be one of the more common Harrach gilding patterns – a good marker for Harrach, which helped me persuade the Belgian dealer who sold it to me that it was Bohemian not French!

Yup, I love this pattern. I've never seen one in the wild either. It's amazing though.. the more you are exposed to who made what the more you find the what..

Mike very nice acquisition! Let me know if it needs a new home :)

They used this gilding pattern on a variety of work around the same period.
