These are my Hina Emperor & Empress dolls. I found them at a bargain price in a flea market while passing through Singapore on my round-the-world trip. The kimekomi method is based on inserting fabric into a pre-cut wooden base. Their heads are made of gofun. She had a Hagoita paddle which has detached - I still have it, but I can't tell where it was originally attached so will mend it when I see a similar example.
