    I picked this chest from a neighbor. They were moving and no longer wanted it. I researched some of the markings and found the following: Heloise-Leloir images. It also said A. Chaillor, Imp. Romaine 64 R Ste.
    The patent number is May 54. If I can have any help on more information on this chest, I would be very thankful.

      Lovely 1880's or even later 1870's dome top chest. A good candidate for refinishing in my books -- although there are some who would advocate putting on new leather. Not sure about the name on the lithograph, or the other reference you mention. The 1854 was a patent date for the original plan on the hardware that would have been used for many years after. High quality trunk in its day.
