My sister and I recently purchased these "sister" lamps for each other. The shades and the wiring lead me to think they are Bohemian in origin, possibly Loetz. They came with original (or at the very least old ) wiring with Eastern European (probably Czech) plugs.

The bases are 15" tall with a green patina that was added after manufacture, but still has a lot of age to it. They have Hubbell sockets with very delicate, pointed bottom acorn pulls which date the lamps to between 1905-1909.

The art glass shades, which also support that date, are 6" W x 4 3/4" H. They are clear glass with a green and amber cisele like decoration. The iridescence blends from gold at the top to blue, magenta, and orange at the bottom. Both the top and bottom of the shades have been cut and polished.

The original glass beaded fringe that finished the shades is almost completely gone. Thankfully, there is one complete strand left so I know roughly what it looked like. If I can't find appropriate beaded fringe, I'll replicate it myself. More pics to come after I finish that restoration.

I appreciate any additional information readers have to offer.

    Thanks,
    Betsy

Thanks for the comments, JayHow. Yes, I'm quite lucky to have a sister that is really a best friend and partner in crime. We share many of the same expensive hobbies, art nouveau glass being one of them.

Another of our passions is stained glass and in particular Tiffany lamps. Since we'll never be able to afford them, we started making them. Between us we've constructed over 30 lamps, both reproduction and our own designs. We're always on the look out for a nice old lamp base. So finding two sweet, little art nouveau lamps with beautiful art glass shades on ebay got our heart rates up.

I was afraid they would go to high, as often happens with ebay auctions. Fortunately, I think the flash photography photos from the seller coupled with the auction ending on Easter Sunday, helped us get them for a pretty decent price.

Thanks, Al! Would you lean towards one maker more heavily than the other?
