    Its on wood secured by nails ( the frame ) then some leather and seems like its half whole plate i really would love if someone can help me to identify it !! its for sure made on polished silver plate and has no glass , no paper and no case

      It's a solider holding gun with his wife on his side , i can take better pic if needed

      Need a larger photo if you can :-) We have photo experts on here but yours could be old or mmade to look old hard to tell by photo . Welcome to CW ! Glad to have you . It might take a bit for our photo people to see this so maybe you could get a larger photo up for them .

      This appears to be a Tintype which was a type of photo-impression which was very popular during the Civil War era. The leather and nails appear to be original and quite old, but an antiques dealer could probably help you more with an appraisal.

      Sorry, but your photo is a modern novelty "dress up" image with no collector value.
