Another Reason for Thinking about Retirement from November 2009. We were very fortunate to find this in the middle of our twenty mile mainline, after a Huge rainfall, before we would have found it with the RR Cars and our Locomotive. I remember thinking that Day ---- COME ON RETIREMENT!!!!

Yes Mani, I retired with 40 years service. Started at the bottom and worked my way up the Ladder and was an Engineer for the last 20 years. There were lot's of tense moments in that 40 years, but especially the Engineer years. Lot's of responsibility!!

Musik I can only imagine the responsibity as a Engineer of a train . I only know when I was a para medic it felt like the world was on my back at times so I am thinking they are much alike . Holding life in your hands . Only took one Train trip years ago as a child with my Mom and my 3 younger sisters . It was horrid such a small area and all those crying kids for my Mom to handle . Some kind Sailors finally came and helped her keep track of the younger ones . Nice walk down memory lane :-)))))))

Thank You for the comment Mani. I understand about thr stress involved in the medical field also. I was a Volunteer Firefighter and E.M.T for 15 years and there were plenty of cases where you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders in certain situation's that require your involvement in saving lives. I can't imagine the pressure on a Paramedic!! Yes Mani, You are correct, they are both Pressure situations!!

Maybe that is why we both love music so much :-) It takes us away to another place in our minds where we can relax and drift away :-) The worst for me on a call was unknown to me it was my son and my friend . I never recovered both DOA car accident :-(

As one Rail-Roader to another, looks to be a slight malfunction on the main, I suppose if you hit it about 35-40, you might "High-Ball" across...... NOT.
      Neat picture, thanks for sharing.
