This is a lovely little silver pin made in Norway. It is an inch wide by 3/4 inch high - a tiny treasure. The back is marked 830S but I could not find the makers mark on line - there is a flower with round centre and five round petals around the centre, and then a separate letter N in a square. The pin is a simple C clasp. It comes from a tin of tiny treasures that I bought for the 50s unmarked rhinestones that sell well in my shop, but that also contained some very interesting tiny treasures, some as old as Victorian. Does anyone know the makers mark on this one?

The flower mark sounds like O. F. Hjortdahl's mark but the N is confusing. Are you sure it's an N?
Great find! Could you give us some clear photos of the marks?
Here are some clear photos of the marks. The graphic "flower" looks exactly like the O F Hjortdahl mark except there is no horizontal line through it. The N is definitely an N - I have viewed under higher mag with the microscope.
I perused the Danish, Swedish and Finnish marks just in case but nothing like this.
