    This miniature portriat painting measures 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and is beautifully framed in a Rococco frame, surrounded by green velvet and covered a slightly belved glass. It is signed with what appeaqrs to be either BORNE or BOSME.
    It appear to be a watercolor on paper.
    Since I have absolutely no information on the artist nor sitter, I am seeking information of any type pertaining to the item

      After minimal research, I came upon the artist Johann Gunther Bornemann (1757 - c.1815). Comments please.

      Ah ha.....another posibility. But, uncertainity continues.
      Johann Gunther Bornemann (1757-1815)
      He was from the city of Gottingen was also active in Hamburg and Lobeck. His portraits are in the collections of the museums of Gottingen, Kassel and Kiel.
