We got this chest at an estate sell and have been unable to find another like it. It is made of mahogany wood, it has 3 drawers, 2 small on top and 1 large underneath. The side panels (not smooth but are more like 2" slats together to make the outter side panel) are in a half circle shape and the top opens up. The dimensions are 28" high, 28" wide and approx. 14" deep. We believe it to be 1940's or 1950's. any help identifying this would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you
Your stand is a depression era sewing stand. These stands are commonly know as "Martha Washington" type.

agree with Dave nice piece
Thank you so much for your help. The one I have is in very very good condition. What range is a piece like this worth?
hard too say.area makes a difference.guess $125
I have one just like yours. I bought it at a used furniture shop in the 70s and paid $75.
I have one of these too and was told it was to store sewing supplies. If you click on my photos I have one showcasing some old doors but my sewing table like yours is in the photo. I got mine at a used furniture store for $25 but it has heavy patina on it from age.
They call them Martha Washington stands near me my wife got hers at a yard sale for $5 in 79
