A lovely sterling blue morpho butterfly pin. Wonderful colour. Very simple design for the bar pin. Both the round part with the bubble glass and the bar pin itself are marked sterling T.M&Co for Thomas Millard, a silversmith in the Birmingham area of England who made jewelry among other items between 1874 and 1934. I am guessing this is earlier as it does not have the design elements of art nouveau or deco, and the blue morpho butterfly jewelry was popular in Victorian times. It could be early Edwardian too. What do you think? It has an older style C clasp. The shimmering blue butterfly wing is under a dome of glass.
