      most likely a one-of-a-kind hobby ceramic piece; very creative. The mold is from early '70s. I have a cat from the same mold sitting under the quilt rack. Have a ceramic Christmas tree done similarly; just drill holes in the ceramic before it is fired. Insert the colored plastic (or glass) beads in the finished piece, and stick a light bulb in there.

      I have a turtle lamp posted here on cw, that's made like this cat. I also have a blouse with a similar pattern to the towel in the background. LoL
