I recently purchased this at an estate sale of a deceased antiques dealer/decorator. I'm not sure what it was used for or what it is called. It seems to me that it would have been some type of jam jar but I can't find anything similar to it online (double jar on crystal stand). It was just so unique and I am a collector or and slightly obsessed with crystal and china.

Excuse my thoughts. A preserve set?

      Here is something similar.

Crystal jam/preserve jars? And would we call that a caddy?

Thank you for the "welcome". Russ, we are thinking along the same lines. The only thing I have found was listed on a New York City, Antique's store online. They called it a cruet set although to me they don't look at all like something you would pour out of. They are more of a jar. Here is the link.... (I didn't pay anything close to what those are listed at....not even in the same stratosphere!!)

Ok, this is completely unlike yours, but I am leaning towards this direction.

Loosely could be called a caster set. This is European and a very nice example, also quite nice to find it intact.

Thanks everyone! Paul71, thanks for that input. I will have to look that up.

Let me know if you need any help. I may have some scans of original catalogs that show this type of caster
