Can someone help me identify this.
I found it in my Mother in Laws attic. Pretty rough condition.
There are two plungers one for dispensing something and one that is a cutter. There are two holes in the fron of the cutter.
I think it is a smoking stand that has a match dispenser.
or possibly a tobacco dispenser.
There is a brass tag that says:
Patent Pending
Anderson & Paterson
Thanks

What is the width inside the dispenser chamber? Does dispensed product fall into the drawer or come down in front of the mirror?
Inside the chamber is 2 1/4"
The item would fall down the mirror
Thanks for helping
It has me stumped!
Yes me too I can't find one or any info on it anywhere.
Thanks for looking
Are you in the U S?
Yes St Louis area
I may have to take it to a smoke shop or antique store
I wondered about your location as I had looked at the U S patents but came up short so it must not have been patented. I thought it could be for dispensing cigarettes, but it appears to be too narrow for that.
That was my first thought too
I think it is for dispensing wood matches
And the cutter is for cutting a newly rolled cigarettes
The drawer catches the cuts and then can be re-rolled or thrown away
Did you find out what this is?
