Took this about 1970 just N. of Montgomery, AL. It had been bypassed twice. First by a county road & then by an interstate. Wonder if it's still there?

I really liked that place & glad so many others did also. Thanks for the appreciation & showing that I'm not as tasteless as I thought.

Man this is a cool pic!! Visible pumps still being used in 1970!! These are same style as mine too:) Couple of 5 gallons on either end and a 10 gallon in the middle.
    8. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 8 years ago
Hate to burst your bubble Trey, but they weren't still being used.

Roy-Gary, in those days, that is exactly what was going on. Make something legal, & the feds add enough tax to make the illegal a lucrative business again. I've had some of that shine that was better than bonded & then had some that must have been stored in kerosene barrels. I quit "hard" stuff in 1991 on requests from friends. Wise friends, that ! LOL !

BB - Robert...I know if I was living there, I would of made money being creative ...lol
A Fella up the road brought home a case of jars from NC ...about 20 years ago ..we crack a jar open and drank it all ... never had such a hang over in my life ...never drank it again....lol I enjoy a 18 year old Dewar's Blended Scotch from time to time ..but never made it a habit... later bud

In the early '60's, shine runners would recruit drivers from our high schools because the courts couldn't do much to under age kids. $500 driver & $200 shotgun. That was a lot of quid back then. Most of those kids probably went on to become politicians. LOL !!
    14. Roycroftbooksfromme1, 5 years ago
ya well no different the drug dealers today lol they use young kids to mule there dope around and sell it ......ya if not politicians ...then lawyers,.... smiling ok have to work on the mower deck,.. the goats quit, must be union...later
    15. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 5 years ago

    16. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 5 years ago
Yeah, I added a LUV. Makes it an even 40 ! I think this is one of my best pics. I got the nude girls to hide, so I could poste on it CW.
    17. Roycroftbooksfromme1, 5 years ago

    18. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 5 years ago

    19. Roycroftbooksfromme1, 5 years ago

hey ...had a fella up the road looked at the wifes old kia ...while there he pulled out a Rambler convertable with two shifters ....dam good looking car said it was a 777 model ...and the 777 was on the car on both sides i'll have to go back and snag some pic's for here,.... you ever see one..?
    21. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 5 years ago
Fairly accurate synopsis on the pic. LOL. The 770 was a sharp looking car. Never heard of a 777.
