This is one of hundreds of dolls from the same owner. There were many unusual dolls but this one really sticks out in my mind. Maybe because as an artist I like hand made things.
It seems that someone spent a good deal of effort and skill to paint and fashion this doll as well as create it.
It looks like a real piece of folk art.
Anyone have any clues about its origin or age?
Manakin I am anxious to hear what you have go say. It seems to resemble some antique dolls.

Yes very skillfully painted. The fabric is also unusual. Looks like fabric taken from actual clothes.

      Hi Ron
She is a novelty doll made for tourists from around 1950. She is made of composition and her floss hair is very common to see Mexico use on their dolls .

I love the folk art feeling of it.
