You'll have to research value on your own. Its considered impolite on collector's sites. There are many free resources available.
This is a brass or bronze platter with encrusted work done probably in the beginning of the 20th century, in Tanjavur in South India. This one looks like brass or bronze with copper work - you also find them with silver work and sometimes with both silver and copper work. The overlaid metal is quite fragile and when cleaning should be treated with care. The Brits who ruled India then called this work encrusted ware. This work was done on bowls, jars, 'lota's boxes and plates in various sizes.
