hi cw...I wanted to share my newest find....it is an elk antler pipe with a stag carved into the pipe's bowl...the bowl also has bruyere garantie engraved on the outer side of the bowl but my camera is not good enough to show this fine detail....the tip is made out of antler as well as the upper shaft...the lower part looks like a hollowed out piece of branch but I do not know what kind of tree this might have come from...the pipe is in three parts all connected by green twine...it also has two tufts of elk hairs for tassels...I am amazed by the intricate carving and whoever made this was very good at it....the metal cap has some fine engraving on the clasp part but I cannot find a makers mark which leaves me wondering who made it? ....this pipe measures approximately 9 inches when all put together.....as always, I welcome any comments or info that anyone may have regarding my antler pipe...thanks cw and love this site!
