Found this really nice proportioned Mid Century Danish modern wood and ceramic lamp. The base is an off white ceramic with tiny flecks of brown in it and it has a basket weave pattern. The wooden neck looks like walnut or maple stained to look like walnut. It didn't have a shade so it took me a few days to hunt one up that I thought looked appropriate. A simple off white drum shade which cost waaay more than the lamp, did the trick. I think it goes well with my Robert Lawson abstract (on the right) too ! Also in the picture part of my Shawnee pottery swan (top) and Lefton rose leaf candy dish. The cabinet to the left is filled with some of my milk glass collection. Mostly floral vases Brody, Anchor Hocking etc. but some Westmoreland and Fenton. - Mike-
Yikes ! Has it really been three years since I posted this ...lol. Thanks Ken and yes I still have the lamp. Hasn't moved an inch in all that time. As well as all the Brody milk glass vases and whatever else I crammed into the cabinet. :)
Haha, my deco doesn't move either :-)
Time is flying away, uh?
lol...it sure is Kyra :)
