It is a shame to say this is a Tigers Claw & the casing I believe to be Gold. Any reading I have done on these Pendants are from around 1860 onwards. The story goes that after they had been out on a hunt they would remove there Claws & turn them into jewellery some a lot fancier than this one.
That's true but it was another time and fortunately this is now prohibited. That's where these animals were . The same purpose as the elephants now a days for their tusks. Nevertheless this kind of "jewelry" tiger claws belongs in a collection of antique jewelry because it was in those days a mustto possess such things.
If you could inform me of Wright time would be appreciated. Yes it is a shame that we cannot change the past but what we can do is look after the things that have already been done even if incorrect. Thank you for at least loving it
