    Seems to be a Mantel clock says Dutertre A Paris...measures aprox 16"x6"...nt sure what its made of...does anyone know anything about it ?

      It maybe made of Bronze. French clocks often were. It may also be bronze finished Spelter. It's hard to tell from a photo. Many times, French clocks bore the name of the Retailer, and not the maker...so you may want to search on "Dutertre" Paris, or France to find out more. The winding arbor placement is very unusual and it would be interesting to know who made the clock's movement. I don't see a pendulum. Does the clock still run?
