Just came home with this little treasure. It's a beautiful Nautilus shell vase sitting on what appears to be a lily pad with leaves around it's base. It has a satin finish with a subtle pearly glow. The only mark is USA # 415. I had read somewhere that most of the USA pottery is either Shawnee or McCoy since they weren't required to factory mark things after the war and Japan started exporting again. So you have USA marks and pattern numbers on a lot of post war pieces that could have been made by more well known companies. Who ever made it, it sure does go well with my giant Metlox pottery clam shell. -Mike - Note: A new thought...Catalina Pottery maybe Gladding McBean ?
Looking at some more images and another opinion from my other forum suggested maybe California pottery. Gladding /McBean seems like a good choice or maybe Metlox like my clam shell. -Mike-
Hope you can find it. I have looked also. Getting ready for Community Yardsale day. Yippeeeeee. Whole town has sales for three days.
Ooops ...I let it slip. I've been seeing another online forum...lol Here's the link :

Nice group of people. They also have features for buying and selling and individual groups for every category imaginable. -Mike-
I'm thinking this could be from a California pottery maybe Metlox or Catalina.
