Nice old English dome top trunk -- usually these are covered in leather, first one I have seen in canvas. Probably made around 1910 or 1920. Great that you have the makers label -- most do not. Those are probably brass rivets that would shine up nicely. Looks like a candidate to be refinished. Should not be too hard to take off the canvas but I am unsure of how the wood was shaped on the lid so a bit of a risk as to how it would turn out. What else would you like to know about it?

      Thank you for your comment.
Considering the label I'm very much interested if you have ever crossed upon similar trunk of that particular trunk maker especially that was made for His Royal Highness.
I don't think I'm going to try to renovate it myself due to lack of knowledge, probably I'll offer it to some antique collector.

I wonder what that small rectangular piece is just below the lock. Is it metal? or what material? It's purpose? It does not appear to have any function with the lock.
      Thanks.

That little part is of leather, and if you look at the cover, you can see two nails, so I think, there is another part of leather (a belt?) missing, which was protecting the lock from rain, dust...?
