    This picture is from the movie"The Great Escape" .The famous scene where he makes the sixty foot jump over the fence was preformed by his friend,Bud Ekins. McQueen did ride in the movie,but he was actually one of the german soldiers chasing himself.He was a collector of old time motorcycles. The autograph on the picture is most likely a fake.

      Reminds me of the old days in aviation school. An old pilot I knew would laugh about his part in filming The Battle of Britain. Said that he was flying planes on both sides & the way the film was cut, he was flying a Spitfire that shot down a 109. Loved to joke that he shot himself down. Come to think about it, he wasn't that old back then! Lot younger than I am now. D-mned if I didn't get old when I wasn't watching!
