Here you have four Kralik examples of combination patterns. These patterns are seen separately but when combined in two or three layers give the pieces more depth; I have seen as may as 8-layers on Kralik pieces.

    1. This is a snakeskin pattern using glass chips and a solid polka dot pattern (more like globs of liquid glass).

    2. This is a flame pattern (Bambus) with confetti. I noticed for some strange reason only the green flames are decorated with a second decor...all purple, red, blue, yellow and black flames are always seen by themselves.

    3. This is a diamond pattern made from powder glass with a overlay of red confetti and green adventurine powder (in the same layer). The diamond pattern comes in mahogany or cobalt.

    4. Marquetry pieces are almost always combinations pieces. Here you have a Tango base with crackled powder then a marbled pull (same as black-based marbled pieces) with a marquetry flower. Crackled poweder technique is a mystery to me but my guess is the piece is place into a vat of "inky water" rather than a vat of clear water... leaving the cracks colored in relief.

Please leave opposing opinions as there are some very knowledgeable glass people on here...
