1940's retro 18 carat gold bow brooch

This is another jewel I inherited from my grandmother years ago. It sits in the safe with its golden brothers ;-)
It has one tiny hallmark, it looks like a horse head or a dog head! LOL Sorry, I cant take pictures of it.
This is a classical example of retro jewelry to me. In its time this type of brooches was very popular in Flanders. I think every single housewife had a brooch like this one. My mother inherited a similar but more orante chased bow brooch with matching earclips from her own grandmother. I dont really like its design but ofcourse I keep it. Safely locked away. I have a more attractive costume example that I actually do like and wear occasionaly. So you see again, it doesnt have to be gold or silver to be a nice piece of jewelry. I will show it here on CW.
