This was a fixer upper! I just got this ring back from the store not 3 hours ago. The ring has been in the store for a while.. It was missing one of the Rubies..meaning the original setting and mounting was torn away! I loved the ring for a longtime and debated whether I wanted to take on the challenge..and $$$ of fixing it. So I took the plunge and was happy with the results!!! I love this ring and its a keeper for my girls!!! I googled the ring and could not find anything similar to mine... :( What do you think? The Antique Moonstones are a greyish -blue and has great colour and adularescence.

That would have saved me $$$ but I am blessed to have one of the most renowned Antique Jewelry Restoration Experts that I work with "Claydon Jewelers" in Redondo Beach. They were personal friends with Christie Romero for over 25 years. Also they worked on her pieces and were mentioned in her numerous books as to being experts in the field of Antique Jewelry Restoration. They have worked on all my pieces over the years! Also on Antiques Roadshow...they are a blessing to me. I am not that talented :)

Wow. It was cool seeing a Thai princess ring like mine. Moonstone and rubies. If I'm not mistaken these are Burmese rubies. My Dad bought it when he was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Circa 1970-1972 narrows down when he bought and sent it.
Trying to research the ring. Circa early 70's, late 60's, the US embargo on all things Burma was not in play. Burmese rubies would be especially special.
I've been trying to figure out how much the ring is worth. It was very cool seeing your ring. Mine is in good shape, I can only imagine what it cost to repair.
